Fast Search Everything for Mac finds your files the instant you start typing. Pick the folders you want to include, and the app indexes them for lightning-fast, real-time search.

Getting Started

1. Add a folder On first launch, click “Add Folder…” and choose a folder (your Home folder, Documents, or an external drive), then click Grant Access. 2. Search Start typing in the search bar — results appear instantly. Use the filter chips (Audio, Video, Document, Picture, Folder, File) to narrow results. 3. Manage folders anytime Open Preferences → Index to add or remove folders and rebuild the index.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don’t I see any files? The app only searches folders you grant access to. Add at least one folder via “Add Folder…” to build the index. Is my data private? Yes. Everything stays on your Mac. Nothing is collected, uploaded, or shared. See our Privacy Policy. Can I search an entire drive? Yes — just grant access to the drive’s folder. Larger locations take a little longer to index the first time; after that, searching is instant.
